CANopen FOR LIFTS
Overview and benefits of CANopen Lift CiA 417. We’ll introduce you to SCHAEFER’s CANopen portfolio and discuss various CANopen topologies.
CANopen is an open communication standard which is also employed for different lift components. The uniform application profile allows, for example, the combination of appropriate controller systems with fixtures and their components as well as with further components of the lift.
In comparison to conventional wiring, with CANopen only a few lines are needed. Further positive aspects are the individual configuration, the easy upgrading of the system as well as the simple diagnostics and troubleshooting in case of failure. In every fixture, the so called nodes serve as interface between the components and the terminal box respectively controller.

The (Touch) MediaTFT flex V2.0 is extremely versatile. This opens up completely new and creative possibilities for display design and visualisation of lift data. The configuration is done via a web-based configuration tool (Flexypage). We will show you what needs to be considered when using this TFT series and give you an overview of what is possible. It doesn't matter whether it is only used as an advertising and information platform or as a fully-fledged lift panel with touchscreen operation, right up to the realisation of a hearing-impaired and foreign-language emergency call as a visual communication interface to the emergency call control centre. The MediaTFT flex series starts at 10.1" and covers all common sizes up to a 38" panorama display. Thanks to CANopen compatibility, even sensor data provided via the bus can be processed and visualised.

By means of this software including activeX-driving elements the configuration and error diagnosis of all components connected with the CAN-bus is done. The software contains special functions for the application profile CiA-417 for lifts.
